A totally unique and irreplaceable classic Mustang.
A lovely original and fine unrestored example, it is a very early built Mustang, coming off the production line on the 6th April 1964.
Fully known history and ownership; Sold on the launch weekend, April 17th 1964.
Genuine low mileage (53000 miles)
Virtually impossible to find a matching 1964 Mustang with this originality, provenance and investment value.
Exactly the same spec as the hero car in all Fords 1964 advertising; Wimbledon White, Notchback and Whitewall Tyres.
Included with the car is an A4 ring binder full of History, including a letter from Denise Monti (original owner). Denise talks about her time with the Mustang and thanks Garry and Loretta for taking great care of her car.
On-line into production late March 1964 (Mustang Job One was approx mid March)
Off-line April 6th 1964, confirmed by the original vehicle identification tag.
Production number is 108425, ie the 8425th Mustang produced (the very first Mustang was number 100000). Approx 20000 units were produced as launch stock for dealers by late April, and over 22000 orders were taken on the launch weekend (April 17/18, 1964).
Sold April 17th, 1964 (launch day!) by New York Ford Dealer Chas S Winner Inc to Denise Monti.
Delivery April 22nd, 1964 (paperwork included in the files with the car)
Denise and her husband Frank were stage and tv performers known as the The Flying Agostinos, and listed as Americas most exciting acrobatic adagio act.
Photos of Denise and Frank with the famous names of the era, including Sammy Davis Jnr, Muhammed Ali and others, are included in the cars history file.
Denise sold the car in 2004 (ie one owner for 40 years, with the low mileage reflecting their years of stage performance and travel).
The current owner Garry Jackson purchased the car in June 2007 from a Trademe ad, realizing that he had found something very special.
In October 2014 the car was featured in a lengthy story in NZ Classic Car, including the front cover.
